| The 2010 Arizona Student Film Festival contest is open to students enrolled in third grade through college in any Arizona public, charter, or private educational institution. The Arizona Student Film Festival is open to students that have produced films, videos, documentaries and animation anytime while the filmmaker attended a recognized Arizona public, charter, or private educational institution. Filmmakers may be expected to provide proof of school attendance before advancing. New for 2010: Water Conservation Public Service Announcement Competition In this exciting competition, students are invited to submit an original, 30 SECOND Public Service Announcement (PSA). The theme of the competition is addressing the importance of protecting our drinking water resources. This contest is open to students in 3rd through 12th grade. Students must write, direct, shoot and edit their own work; however they may receive guidance and help from teachers, professionals, and parents. The primary work, however, must be performed by the students. Students may use actors of any age to play different roles. All entries will be showcased at the Arizona Student Film Festival. The prize winners in each category will be recognized and the Grand Prize film in this category will receive a New Digital Camera Kit! Entries should focus on any of the following subjects: How to conserve water IN your home How to conserve water OUTSIDE your home Reasons to save water Consequences of not saving water How does preventing water pollution save water? The Phoenix Film Foundation and its sponsors will have the unlimited right to distribute and use any submitted material for its promotions, advertising, use in print, web content, television and educational purposes.
