The film takes place in the mid 21st century, after the United States has underwent some desolate changes. America became a totalitarian country. To enforce the cruel tyrants in office, the Department of National Censorship was formed to make the U.S. citizens live in fear. But hope is not completely lost. A few remain who believe in the old way of the government who are publicly known as the resistance.
